Name a star for Valentine's Day
Last updated 21 October 2026
Flowers last a week. A star named for them stays in the register for good, with a certificate they can frame and a star page they can open whenever they like. It's a real, catalogued star, dedicated once and never resold — and symbolic, which we'll always tell you up front.
Valentine's 2027: the dates
| Valentine's Day | Sunday 14 February 2027 |
|---|---|
| Physical Gift Pack | Order by Monday 8 February — we post within one working day, and Royal Mail doesn't deliver letters on Sundays |
| Digital Gift Pack | No deadline — it arrives within minutes, including on the morning itself |
How to give it
- The reveal. Send the e-gift link by text or WhatsApp: they tap it, the sky opens, and their star appears with your message.
- The card. Print the certificate at home and fold it into a card.
- The pack. Hand over the printed, sealed Physical Gift Pack over dinner.
- Outside, after dark. Find the constellation together. The coordinates sheet shows exactly where the star sits.
What they receive
- A name certificate — their name, the registry number and the star's coordinates.
- A personalised welcome letter.
- A coordinates sheet with a sky chart — exactly where to look.
- The story of their constellation — its myth, and how to find it.
- A sealed extract from the register — the formal entry.
- Their own live star page, an e-gift reveal to send — and reprint at home, free, for life.

The honest bit
Star naming is symbolic — only the International Astronomical Union assigns official star names, and it doesn't sell them, to us or anyone. What's real: the star, its coordinates, and the dedication in our register, verifiable by anyone at any time. Read how it works and what it costs.
Common questions
Will a star arrive in time for Valentine's Day?

What day is Valentine's Day 2027?
Sunday 14 February 2027.
What can I write on the certificate?
A star name of your choice and an optional short message, which is printed on the certificate and shown on the star page and e-gift reveal.
Is it an official star name?
No. Only the International Astronomical Union assigns official star names, and it does not sell them. The star itself is real and catalogued, and its dedication is recorded once in our register and never resold.
