Can we name a star for both of us?
Many couples do — "Tom and Kate", "Mr and Mrs Fowler", or simply "Our Star". The name is yours to choose and is recorded exactly as you write it.
Can we pick the constellation that was overhead when we met?

Could someone else be given the same star?
No. Each star in our register can only be named once, and anyone can verify the entry by its registry number at any time.
