What everyone else charges
When we checked UK-facing sellers in October 2026, paid digital namings ran from about £10 to £39 (one seller, Staracle, names stars free), and printed packs from £14.99 plus postage to about £150. The full, dated table is on star naming companies compared. The paperwork differs, but here is the honest part: the naming itself is symbolic at every company, at every price. A £150 star is no more official than a £9.99 star — because no company can sell an official star name at all. Only the International Astronomical Union assigns official star designations, and it does not sell them.

Why is ours £9.99? Because digital-first delivery costs little next to glossy packaging. We put the money into the register, the documents and the experience — and price the symbol at what a symbol honestly costs. Curious how it all works? Read the honest guide or is naming a star legit?
Any catches?
- No subscription, no renewal fees — the dedication is recorded once, permanently.
- No postage charge on the Physical Gift Pack or the Twin Star Gift Pack, anywhere in the UK.
- Refund promise — changed your mind? A full refund within 14 working days of your order (printed packs come back at your cost). Spelling mistakes corrected; damaged or faulty packs replaced straight away.
- Multiple stars cost simple multiples — two stars, twice the price; our order form handles up to ten in one go (useful for naming a star for each grandchild). For two neighbouring stars named together on one certificate, there is the £29.99 Twin Star Gift Pack.
